Owner and cinematographer Bill Meurer said he did not want to part with the camera but don't have a lot of options like the entertainment industry has largely gone digital.
"People don't rent the film camera in an amount sufficient to justify retaining them," Meurer said in an interview in North Hollywood, where he was renting out cameras, lenses, lighting equipment and hand trucks.
"At first I feel nostalgic, but 95 percent of our business is digital. We are responding to the market. "
